I had so much fun crafting eight handmade cards to capture the warmth and whimsy of the season. This collection blends lodge-inspired elements with nostalgic Christmas icons for a truly magical feel.
Let’s dive into the details of each card, shall we?
My first card highlights the beautiful patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad, with layers of beautiful deep greens and playful red plaids. The pops of aqua add a fresh twist, while a rustic sign from the Sign Bits and Pieces ephemera served as the perfect focal point, along with the row of cabins to bring those lodge vibes to life.
For my next card, I used the rich Mustard Color Vibe cardstock as the background, setting the stage for a whimsical snow globe scene featuring deer and beautiful florals. The snow globe is from the Big Bits and Pieces and works great on this card! The cute sweater pattern paper from the 6x8 paper pad adds a playful touch, while the “Oh Joy” piece from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces enhances the cozy, wintry feel of the design.
For this card, I made great use of one of the Chipboard Frames from the collection, surrounding it with various ephemera pieces from all the Bits and Pieces packs. The design bursts with stunning reds, vibrant pinks, and beautiful splashes of green, creating a cheerful and festive feel. It’s the perfect card to send your loved ones the merriest of days this holiday season!
If you love vintage campers, this card is for you! I layered a fun wintry scene featuring the camper from the Big Bits and Pieces complete with a cute squirrel, snowflakes and a beautiful pine tree from the ephemera. To add a touch of sparkle, I added some Stickles to parts of this card for some festive shimmer. The Happy Holidays sentiment from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces ties is all together, while a few Decorative Brads add extra dimension to the design.
This card makes me want to grab my skis and hit the slopes! The snowy tree pattern paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad creates a perfect wintery backdrop. I layered in various ski-themed ephemera and topped it off with the adorable “Let it Snow” tag from the Journal Bits and Pieces for a fun, festive sentiment. It’s the perfect card to celebrate the joys of winter!
My next few cards I did are all 4 ¼ square shaped cards and they fit the 4x4 cut –aparts found on the 4x4/2x2 Elements paper perfectly! I layered this card with an adorable snowman, a cozy hot cocoa mug, and beautiful snowflakes and florals for a festive, snowy vibe! It’s as cute as can be even if it makes me shiver just looking at it!
For this square card, I used another 4x4 Element card for my sentiment. I featured a gorgeous Christmas tree scene here complete with vintage-looking ornaments and presents galore! The addition of the “25” Decorative Brad brings a vibrant pop of red, adding the perfect touch of Christmas cheer to the card.
For my final square card, I used the adorable pattern papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad, layering them with a mini tag from the paper pad, and a stunning floral spray from the Floral Bits and Pieces. The “Oh What Fun” sentiment from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces adds a cheerful touch. The vibrant colors and whimsical gingerbread people make this card one of my favorites!
