You're the Zest! by Marsha Farris
Hey, Simple Stories friends! Marsha here, and I'm excited to share a flipbook album I created using the Simple Vintage Lemon Twist collection. This is such a beautiful collection, just perfect for documenting all of those little moments that make life sweeter! The designs are gorgeous, and the color palette is amazing!

I chose to use a Black Buffalo Check 4x6 SN@P Flipbook because it coordinated beautifully with the colors and patterns in this collection. To decorate the cover, I chose a chipboard frame that was a similar size to the album cover. It was designed to hold two photos, so I trimmed the divider to allow more room for the title. I used a yellow and white floral patterned paper to back the frame and adhered it to the cover. Next, I used chipboard and foam stickers to create the title. I embellished it using butterflies from the cardstock stickers and floral bits and pieces. I also added decorative brads for additional texture and lifted the wings of the butterflies to add movement to the design.

For the inside cover, I trimmed a dot patterned paper to use as the background and used stickers and die cuts from the collection to embellish it. I also included a strip of the beautiful teal washi from the collection and a bit of black ribbon from my stash.

For the album pages, I used several patterned papers to create base pages. I enjoy mixing it up and using both patterned paper pages and pocket pages in my albums. The banner cardstock stickers are a personal favorite, so I used one of the smaller ones on the page. I love that it includes a photo frame!

I couldn't resist using a layered embellishment sticker on the next page, along with tickets from the bits and pieces die cuts.

I like using pocket pages because they are a great way to include some of the cut apart cards from the 12x12 collection kit. I added foam stickers and cardstock stickers for a bit of simple embellishing.

I included an interactive element on the next page by adding a card from the cut apart patterned paper and scoring it to create a flip up. I used a border punch to create a scalloped edge on two of the patterned papers and adhered them along the edge of the flip. This flip up provides the perfect spot for journaling.

The next pages used more of the cut apart cards. I embellished each with lots of elements from the collection. This provides layers, texture, and interest to each of the pages.

The final page of the album is a pocket page that uses more of the cut apart elements from the collection kit and includes a spot for a photo or journaling. I used more of the gorgeous washi tape along the edge of the pocket page for extra interest.
This is such a simple and sweet album created using the beautiful Simple Vintage Lemon Twist collection! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will see you again soon with more inspiration!
