Hello fellow scrappers, it’s @vickiscraps here today to share a layout I’ve made using the wonderfully versatile Color Vibes collection. You may have already seen some of my fellow design team using this - it’s a basics collection which has flowers, buttons, chipboard pieces, washi tape, alpha and enamel dots as well as coordinating cardstock--basically everything you need in every color, too!
I have used the Summer pieces for my layout - I love the bright happy colours in there.
I started by constructing some layered florals with each of the colours. I layered two or three flower shapes along with a button on top and arranged them down my page in rainbow order.
When they were arranged I stuck them down and put some colour coded chipboard hearts dotted between the flowers.
Along the right hand side of the page, I stuck some washi to create a strip. I started with very uneven pieces and then used my knife to score a straight line. Washi peels off the page very easily, so it was simple to take away the excess - this is much easier than trying to get them all the same length in the first place.
I picked out the alphas to match each of the colours in the Summer colour way and created my title - You Colour My World which I think was totally appropriate for this colourful layout!
I then smudged some white paint on each of the letters with my finger to add a more distressed look and added white splatters using acrylic paint over my flowers and the washi tape to continue the look.
I hope this inspires you to use the Color Vibes collection - I will be using it to boost my stash is all of my future layouts because there are so many colours, there will always be something to match. Until next time, Vicki x
