Hi ladies! Cristina here with a new project to share with you. I made another mini book with a round shape about 5 and a half inches size. I used the totally amazing Simple Vintage Cottage Fields collection, and it was all about flowers! Polka dots and beautiful flowers are really the perfect combination for me and definitely one of my favorites.
To make the cover, I chose a paper with a black background that emphasized the decorative part and contrasted with the title. The foam sticker title has a beautiful font and the colors used are truly wonderful. To make the circle covers, I chose a heavy chipboard then cut out the two covers using my cameo machine. Finally, I glued them to the chipboard covers on both sides.
I chose the round shape for my mini book to follow the polka dot element in the collection. I cut all the pages using my cameo machine making a strip of paper that allowed me to fold two circles and be able to leaf through them like a book.
After fixing the pages of the two covers that I kept together by a strip of white acetate, I finally started decorating. First, I made the front cover then all the inside pages adding photos and taking advantage of all the beautiful decorations that this collection is full of. I really like combining elements that are different in material and thickness, so I used cardstock stickers from the sheet included in the collection kit, but also chipboards and foam ones. Then I really like combining smaller elements to create movement like brads and die-cuts. In this collection you will also find layered stickers which are really wonderful because those like me who love to make layers can be used in many ways, as they appear in the package or divide them and exploit them for multiple uses.
I used some papers from the 6x8 paper pad for my journaling. Thanks to the giant writings, I decorated them with some labels and labels part of the stickers book.
I love this collection because of the beautiful floral designs and the tiny vintage mood like the chipboard frames that are definitely a cool element to keep memory of my favorite photos. I hope you like my project as much as I enjoyed doing it, so I invite you to leave a comment to tell me what you think and tell me your personal interpretations.
Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
