Hello friends, it’s @vickiscraps here today to share a layout I made using the beautiful Simple Vintage Winter Woods collection. The colours in this collection are so pretty and just perfect for winter photos.
I started with the 6x8 paper pad to choose some papers (they all match, so it was an easy choice) which I tore strips from - around 2-3 inches for each and a little more for the top piece. I arranged them down my page in the centre to create a very textured background.
I added some snowflake embellishments onto foam and tucked those in under the layers - this raised the layers for dimension a little too. I also added some other embellishments - I particularly love stags, so I couldn’t resist, even though it’s not really relevant to my photo.
I used some of the bits and pieces, chipboard stickers and brads too - the little bird is another favourite of mine and as I have trees in the background of my photo, it fit really well.
I used the foam stickers for my title - Wintery was just perfect as my husband and I were out for a walk and it was quite chilly out - although you wouldn’t think so with my husband’s head exposed to the elements! Finally, I splattered the whole layout with white acrylic paint splatters to add to the wintery, vintage feel.
I hope this gives you some inspiration for using this collection - I can see so many possibilities with it and not just for winter - I think it could be used for Autumn too without the snowflakes.
