Hello friends! It’s Jen today with a sweet mini album using the new Simple Stories Boho Baby Collection. With no babies, or prospects of babies, within my family in the near future; I decided to create an album for my coworker who is expecting her first child in two weeks. Putting the album together was a joy but seeing her face when she opened it was the best.
Let’s take a look.
When constructing the album, I began by cutting a 12 x 12 piece of chipboard into two 5 x 7-inch pieces. Next, I covered both sides of the album cover with patterned paper from the collection. At this point, I also added ribbon to the cover so it can be tied shut.
Throughout the album, I followed a similar pattern when constructing the pages. The first page holds the Welcome Baby card to record the birth while the subsequent pages cover months 1 through 12.
When adding the monthly tags, I created pockets and flip-ups to record the baby’s information; which was easily done with washi tape and machine stitching. Additionally, each page has a placeholder where photos can be added.
It was so fun putting the pages together and using the Boho Baby collection and embellishments made it super easy to assemble.
As I continued through the album, I began adding 4 x 6 photo placeholders in addition to the 3 x 4.
There are also pages that are blank so she can add random photos or facts within the album.
It will be such a joy to see the album complete once the baby turns one!
The final step in completing the album was to bind everything together using my Cinch. The project is so cute and I am happy that I was able to give my friend a special gift she can keep forever.
Thank you for visiting today and sticking with me through this long post. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to pick up the Boho Baby Collection to record the little ones in your life.
