Tropical Paradise
Aloha! It is Ali, @funadventureswithali, excited to share a special album created for the Simple Stories design team featuring their Just Beachy collection. During our honeymoon in Hawaii, we enjoyed a magical luau in Maui where a professional photographer captured beautiful moments of us.
The Just Beachy collection is the perfect way to preserve these cherished memories.
Designing the album cover was a joy! I transformed a chipboard frame into a delightful shaker filled with shells and starfish, adding ephemera pieces for extra flair. It’s so charming to see these ocean treasures floating within the frame.
To enhance the inside of the cover, I included some ephemera pieces, creating a fun surprise when the album is opened. It’s a little touch that adds to the overall experience.
When working on projects, don’t hesitate to use rub-ons. I incorporated the “getaway” title rub-ons onto a 4x6 card from the collection kit instead of directly on the photo, and they adhered smoothly like butter – truly amazing rub-ons!
In another instance, I added a sticker with foam backing onto the page protector for dimension and visual interest.
For the tags, I cut them apart, kept three together, and folded them before placing them in the page protector. Adding ephemera pieces and journaling, then tying a ribbon through the holes, completed the look.
