Hello there! I'm so happy to be with you on the blog today and being able to share with you my latest batch of handmade cards. This time I had the pleasure of working with the “Simple Vintage Ancestry” collection. Can I just say- this collection is absolutely stunning! From the rich color pallet to the gorgeous icons in the embellishments – it was a joy to work with!
Today I have 6 cards to share with you!
There are so many wonderful embellishments that go with this collection. One of my favorite new products that we came out with this year was the Foam Stickers. The “Love” “Family Ties” and the 2 hearts on the bottom of the card are all foam stickers. I just love the dimension they add!
I also really like using the 4x4 Element papers on my cards. The cards look like they are already layered up and I think this is so clever! The chipboard stickers also make for some really pretty card embellishments as you can see here. The gears are from the Chipboard stickers. I layered a few die cuts from the Bits and Pieces on top.
The rich greens in this collection make for great contrast with the reds in the collection. The old fashioned photos in frames are die cuts from the Bits and Pieces and I loved them so much I added 2! The “Thinking of You” sentiment is from the Cardstock Sticker sheet. I placed it over top of one of the die cuts with some foam tape for the card sentiment.
This card is probably my favorite of the bunch. I used one of the 4x6 Element cards mounted on top of some of the yellow paper from the Family Tree 12x12 Paper. The old fashioned looking silhouettes are stickers from the Chipboard Stickers. I placed them along the middle of the card and then decorated the
top and bottom corners of the card. I added some gold floss thread behind two of the ticket stickers and then added a staple to the center of 2 of the wood grain hearts that are die cuts from the Bits and Pieces. There are so many stunning florals in this collection and I added a yellow flower sticker behind the hearts.
Isn’t the soft blue in this collection just lovely? I knew I needed to focus on this color pallet on this card. I also used a couple of the die cuts from the other set of Bits and Pieces – these ones are called the Portrait Bits and Pieces and they were so fun to use. I layered lots of die cuts and stickers on this card. The blue butterflies added just the right touch as well. I added some gold Stickles on the edge of the wings for some sparkle and shine.
My last card is also layered up with lots of die cuts and stickers and one of our Decorative Brads. These add great dimension too!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out my cards! I hope I have inspired you! One of these cards would be great to send to a loved one like a grandparent or special relative to let them know you are thinking of them. We could all use a little happy mail these days and so I hope you will add the Simple Vintage Ancestry collection to your card making stash! Happy crafting my friends!
