Hey Simple Stories friends! It’s Cheryl here today featuring the new Simple Vintage Tis the Season collection in this gorgeous mini binder!
First of all.. how beautiful is this SN@P binder in the colour Cranberry? This shade of deep red is simply stunning and so perfect to document fun memories at this time of the year. This is the second SN@P binder I have filled and I have so much fun doing it. If you’re overwhelmed by mini albums and creating chipboard bases I can highly recommend giving one of these binders a try, as the hard work is already done for you. Plus did I mention how stunning it is?!
I wanted the entire binder to be red on the outside so I have used one of the 12x12 patterned papers from the collection to cover the chipboard base of the album. I like the natural look, but for this specific project I liked the idea of having two shades of red on the front cover. I have stitched around the cover with intentional wonky lines - it gives it such a handmade feel. Tis The Season comes with beautiful chipboard frames and I have used my favourite one on the cover as my main focus piece. Chipboard stars and enamel dots sprinkled around the frame complete the cover.
The album has yet to be filled with photos, so I have added white place holders throughout the binder. I used 3x4, 4x6 and 5x7 ones as a base for potential photos or journalling! The binder comes with gorgeous dividers and I have used them with patterned paper from the collection to create beautiful pages. Every single page has been machine stitched with pale pink thread to add a touch of texture to the album. I decided to go with pale pink as I like the soft colour against some of the darker colours.
There are tuck spots, frames, pocket shakers, pompom trim and so much variety. The great thing about using a binder is that you’re not restricted to a limited number of pages. Want to add more pocket pages? Simply add them! Don’t like how one page turned out? Remove it and replace it with something else. It’s so versatile and perfect for everyone!
I hope this has inspired you to document your December / Winter memories in a binder and give it a try (if you haven’t already)
Cheryl
