Usually when I approach a layout, I use whatever products I'm inspired to use and just set the others aside for another project. I could not even begin to narrow down the products from Hearth & Home. I love this collection! Every element in it is gorgeous and unique! So I set out for a new challenge, use as many different products as I could without making the layout too busy! Join me to see how that worked out ;)!
I did not have any good family photos in front of our house or even in our house (note to self, take those photos). So I opted to use an older family photo with great coordinating colors to this collection. After choosing my large photo I looked at papers both from the 12 X 12 collection kit and the 6 X 8 paper pad.
One thing I learned from using SO many embellishments is that you don't need a lot of patterned paper. I usually use several sheets of it, but in this case, I just used the base paper and one sheet from the 6 X 8 paper pad. Once those were on, I started building around my title and photograph with clusters.
Each cluster contains Chipboard, Page Pieces, Foam Stickers, Puffy Stickers, Decorative Brads, and Bits & Pieces. Wow, that's a lot! But at the same time, they blend together so seamlessly to create a beautiful and dimensional cluster!
To the bottom right cluster I also added a chipboard frame! Journaling bits helped bring in some extra words down there as well.
One more piece to note, I added in a couple of border stickers to the top and bottom of the picture. Again, this made it possible to not use a ton of patterned paper because the patterns came into play there!
All in I used everything I had except enamel dots and washi tape! But I was still able to create a pretty clean layout! Join me over on my channel for a full process video on this layout!
