This is Me

We're so excited to welcome back Brianna Lepper to our 2023 design team. We can't wait to share her work with you. Before we jump into that, we want you to get to know Brianna a little better.

Bio:

Hey everyone!  My name is Brianna Lepper and I'm so excited to be a part of the 2023 Simple Stories Design Team!  I've been scrapbooking for over 15 years and I'd like to think that my style, while constantly evolving, is bright and fresh with a bit of mixed media thrown in.  I'm a military spouse and we are currently stationed in Northwest Louisiana.  I have two boys, Noah and Elijah and I'm currently pregnant with our third!  When I'm not creating in my craft room, you can find me reading, cooking and spending time with my family!

 Fun Facts:

I didn't see snow until I was 22 years old.

I'm pregnant and due on April 30, 2023.  Two weeks after that, my oldest son will graduate high school and we will be sending him off to college!!

My favorite TV show is I Love Lucy.

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I'm beyond excited to share my layout using the new My Story collection. This collection is stunning and when I went through all of the patterned papers, I knew I had to find a way to highlight a lot of them! Here's my page:

To start, I went through the 12x12 patterned papers and trimmed them down to about 1/2" x 12"-inch strips. I adhered them to a piece of textured white cardstock and using a large bowl as a guide, I cut into all of the strips to give them a fun design. I then added machine stitching to each strip for some extra texture and interest.

Here's another view at all of the strips:

I decided to add a bit of mixed media by painting on a couple of Distress Oxide inks that matched the collection. Just a simple and soft background. Next, I matted my photo using both sides of a 6x8 patterned paper and centered it in the middle of the paper strips. I then created my title using one of the Foam Stickers and adhered it at an angle to the top left of my photo. It really pops on top of all of that pattern!

I wanted to add embellishments at a diagonal from my title, so I pulled out a few of the Floral Bits and started a cluster towards the bottom of my layout. I also added a few foam butterflies and a cute camera chipboard sticker.

I then added a few of the Cardstock Stickers and sprinkled a few Decorative Brads around the page. I didn't want to embellish too heavily since the patterned paper strips were a main focal point.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that I've inspired you in some way today! I'll see you in my next post friends!
