If you are totally over winter, Cottage Fields is just what you need to bring some spring vibes into your life. If you love winter and also just love beautiful design and color, Cottage Fields is also what you need. This is one of those collections, every style of crafter can work with. It's a beautiful blend of vintage and classic, while still throwing in some modern vibes. Can you tell I love it? ;) Let's take a look at the layout I created with it!
Typically my layouts have clean lines and vibrant colors. If you look at my recent layout using Hello Today, you probably wouldn't even know that the same designer made today's layout. But goodness it was fun to layer and tear and change things up a bit!
Chipboard Frames are always one of my favorites from Simple Stories. Today, I opted for a single photo layout, but layered my frames. I framed my picture with one. The second had slots for two pictures but I filled it instead with patterned paper. I then topped it with my picture. Then I started to surround the left side of it with flowers from the Chipboard, Floral Bits & Pieces, and Bits & Pieces.
To create the torn background at the bottom, I used three different patterned papers. I tore off strips and just layered them one on top of each other.
Usually in the creative process my title comes in about midway. For this layout I got all the way to the end and added my chipboard title last. Chipboard was definitely my lead embellishment today!
Although it looks complicated, this layout is actually pretty simple to put together. If you want to check out more details you can find a full process video over on my YouTube Channel.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting
