The Most Wonderful Time...

The Most Wonderful Time...

Hello Simple Stories friends, it’s Becki here, to share a 6x8 Sn@p album using the Hearth & Holiday collection. When I first saw this collection, I knew it would be the perfect collection for my holiday album. I love the traditional, homey feel of this collection.

I started with the Hearth & Holiday 6x8 Sn@p binder. There are SO many fabulous pages already inside that album. I couldn’t help but use all of them. And, of course, add some pages of my own!

The page with all the tags on the left came with the album. I simply added a few embellishments to dress it up a little bit, now it’s ready for photos and journaling. For the page on the right, I punched tons of rhombus shapes out of papers from the 6x8 paper pad. Then I stitched them to a piece of cardstock using my sewing machine and white thread. I love how this paper pieced/stitched page emphasized the coziness of the album with a quilted look.

On the page on the left, I used a piece of patterned paper as the base. Then I flipped through the 6x8 paper pad and fussy cut around the entire image of Santa and the fireplace in a Christmas scene. To create a bit of dimension, I adhered the entire fussy cut image with foam adhesive. I wanted this piece to stand out against the background. On the right side, you can see bits of three pages. I love creating pages of all different shapes and sizes throughout the album. This spread is a good example of the different sizes and shapes of pages in this album.

The page on the left, is another page out of the album. On this one, there will be a large photo. I kept the embellishments to a minimum for this reason. All the page needed was a fun title, a sweet little cardinal and some enamel dots. This spread has another paper pieced page on the right. This time, I used one inch squares adhered on an angle. I added a few more embellishments to this page. I couldn’t resist the chipboard Santa and the large “merry” chipboard.

This last spread might be my favorite! I love photos and I love Christmas cards! On the page on the left, there’s room for a large photo. At the bottom of the page, I used a chipboard label from the Color Vibe Winter chipboard set. I love using coordinating embellishments from the Color Vibe product line to enhance the themed collections. On the page on the right, I started with the base page that came with the album. I added a few embellishments on the front of the pocket. I also added a few journaling spots in the pocket too. The main purpose for this page is to add a few of our favorite Christmas cards in the pocket.

I hope this album will inspire you to create a December album of your own using the Hearth & Holiday collection. Thank you for stopping by the Simple Stories blog. I cannot wait to see what you create with this collection. Happy crafty holidays!!

This is such an inspiration, Becky! I’ve made a december daily for several years but i’ve been looking for something simpler – lots of ideas here for a less-than-daily look at december 2022. Thank you!
