The Little Things by Becki Adams
Hello Simple Stories friends, Becki here, to share a layout with you that I created with the brand new The Little Things collection. I’ve had so much fun playing with this collection! My favorite thing to scrapbook is the small, everyday moments. I LOVE those photos and memories that we make each day!
The first thing that I always look at in a new collection is the patterned papers. Patterned paper is my number one favorite scrapbooking supply! I use it on every single project I make. Naturally, I LOVE the patterned papers in The Little Things collection. I especially love the floral-patterned papers. I also love to fussy cut floral patterned papers. I couldn’t help but fussy cut all the flowers from the “Happy Life” patterned paper. Yes, it was a labor of love and very time consuming! I loved every minute of it though! I simply turned Netflix on, found a comfy spot on the sofa and fussy cut away.
After I fussy cut all those flowers, I wanted them to steal the show on my layout. To make these fussy cut flowers shine, I adhered them to a piece of White Color Vibe cardstock using foam adhesive. When I had those flowers in place, I was giddy!! I am so happy with how this background looks.
Because the background is so beautiful, I didn’t want to cover very much of it with embellishments. I created a pocket behind my 3x4 photo on the bottom right section of the layout. I added my journaling to a tag and tucked it behind the photo. The rest of the layout is very simple! I layered a foam sticker title on the bottom of my photo and added a few flower die cuts and a cute camera sticker. Last but not least, I added a couple of butterflies to finish the layout.
I am so happy with how this layout came together! It was so much fun to create! If fussy cutting isn’t your thing, no problem! You can achieve the same look by simply using the “Happy Life” patterned paper to the background instead of fussy cutting all the flowers.
