Hey friends! Brianna back with you today and the new True Colors collection is absolutely stunning. I'm in love with the color palette and all of the adorable icons. I chose a specific photo to go with this collection because I rarely take photos with my daughter.. I'm always behind the lens. This was a reminder for me that not only do I need to take the photos, I also need to be in them! Here's my page:
To start, I chose the Warm White Color Vibe CS as my base and then trimmed out the stripes from the Happy To Report 12x12 paper. I distressed the edges of each stripe and then lined them up and adhered them to my cardstock. It's such a fun way to use this paper and get some interest and dimension out of it as well.
Next, I went through the Chipboard Frames and chose the circular color wheel piece and decided to turn it into a shaker. I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of it to create my window and then applied two layers of foam tape to create a place for my shaker pieces to sit. I pulled out some buttons from the Color Vibe Brights and Spring packs and included them in my shaker. I also added in a few clear sequins from my stash. It came out so cute!!
I then matted my photo with a few papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and grabbed one of the Foam stickers for my title. I layered another Chipboard Frame under my photo and built up a few clusters around my photo using some Big Bits, Chipboard Stickers and a few Floral Bits.
I wanted a larger pop of black at the bottom of my photo so this Layered Chipboard sticker was the perfect piece for that spot.
The top right of my page needed another cluster, so I layered more Floral Bits along with some Journal Bits, Bits and Pieces and a few stickers from the Sticker Book.
For some finishing touches, I sprinkled in a few Decorative Brads and added some black paint splatters. Here's one last look:
