Hi, Friends! My name is Andrea and I am back with a new mini album I wanted to share with you. I am a big fan of the Simple Stories 4x6 Flipbooks, and the Simple Stories ‘Summer Snapshots’ collection was just perfect for me to document a very special day in Yauco, PR last month after a scrapbooking retreat.
As always, I love adding layers and dimension to my album covers, and this is no different. I started with the rub-ons, the camera from the Big bits & pieces pack, chipboard stickers, regular bits & pieces, and a bold title from the Foam Stickers. These are always one of my favorite products to use. The inside cover was also fun to put together as a way to finish the title of the album.
I included a mix of regular 4x6 and 3x4 pocket pages and page inserts I created using patterned papers from the collection. Even though I like to create simple spreads for my albums, I love playing with the colors and layers to create interest and showcase my photos and stories. The color palette of this collection is so vibrant and perfect to highlight the colorful houses and accents of Yauco. I also created some additional pockets to make sure I can keep a few extra photos and journaling.
Speaking of favorite products, can you see how the adhesive brads are just perfect to add personality to a page. The cameras’ 4x6 card was beautiful, but it definitely looks better when you add the brads over the pocket. I also love the bright and sparkly enamel dots from this collection.
