Hello Simple Stories Friends,
Karlla here, and I'm so happy to share this project with you!
I have a small passion for Halloween. I love this date and I try to keep it always fun every year. My son Pietro, like me, looks forward to this date every year.
In this project, I wanted to record this scary night (not so much LOL) with a fun layout full of elements. I brought some small photos to be able to explore the details well.
First thing I did, was the base. Paper "Hello, Pumpkin" in the background, "What a Scream" paper as a central rectangle and "Journal Elements" paper as detail on the sides. For this detail, I cut two strips with the fringe scissors and positioned the strips on each side.
For those who follow my projects, you know that I love a layout full of heights, and thinking about this layout... I wanted something playful. So why not add some brooms? Ok, this has all my heart.
Simple to do. First you create a paper straw and then with the help of fringe scissors, cut a strip on the paper of your choice (For this, I used 6x8 Pad papers). Wrap the bangs and glue them inside the straw. As a finish, I used washi tape from the collection.
For more details, you can check out a Reels I created on my Instagram teaching them... YAY!
The layout was divided into three parts, and brooms were the main element of this. I positioned them and started decorating. Each broom had a separate decoration, with mixtures of elements, giving a lot of dimension to the project. Then I placed the photos at different heights to give depth.
The tags in Simple Stories' collections are always so cute and I love exploring them in my work. And having them on the 6X8 Pads is amazing. I added two of different sizes to the sides of the photos. The small phrases of cardstock stickers along with other embellishments, make the tags even more special. I love those details!!
To finish, I applied a few more elements from "Bits & Pieces" and the cute bats from "Foam Stickers" with black enamel dots details with each one. In the "Journal Bits & Pieces", I chose to use "31" to finish the decoration, along with more black enamel dot and the cute "October Fun".
It was amazing to create this layout. I hope I have inspired you and that you can feel all this love.
I can't wait to see what you create this month. Have fun!!
See you Soon
Karlla Dauer.
