Hello, Nicole here today to share a double page layout featuring the Softball Simple Set.
Each of the Sport themed Simple Sets comes with (2) sheets of (3) patterns, making it a perfect fit for a double page layout. I love the free sketch resources available over at Scrapbook Cards and Today magazine and I chose a double page sketch from the Sprint/Summer 2024 issue.
I had additional photos that I wanted to incorporate in this page, so I extended the 3x3 photos and added a second row of those. The sketch showed a fun horizontal stripe element and one of the patterns in the Softball Simple Set was already printed with a wide stripe pattern, so this was a perfect choice for that area. I did cut the stripes apart and selected the four colors I felt would complement the black background best. I had stitched the wide strips with coordinating colors of embroidery floss as well as the three softball die cuts from the Ephemera Page Pieces to add additional interest and texture.
The sketch also included an area for a full sized 5x7 photo, so I chose one of my favorites and matted it with coordination cardstocks from Color Vibe textured cardstock line. I used the large title piece, glove icon and stars from the Ephemera Page Pieces to create a cluster framing this large focal point photo.
I used the 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet to add phrases directly onto some of the 3x3 photos and filled in the clusters with stars from the Page Pieces set and sticker sheet.
