Hey, Simple Stories friends! Marsha here, and I'm excited to share a cute flipbook album I created using the Happy Hearts collection! I love the colors in this collection, and the icons are so fun!
I chose the Robins Egg 6x8 Flipbook for my project because the color coordinated beautifully with this collection. I began by selecting a patterned paper from the collection kit to cover the front of the album. I used a chipboard sticker and letter stickers from the Color Vibe Summer Alpha Sticker Book to create the title. To further decorate the cover, I typed onto a typewriter die cut to personalize it and layered it over a floral bits & pieces die cut. Foam and chipboard heart stickers completed the cover design.
For the first page of the album, I created a pocket with patterned paper from the collection kit. I embellished the pocket with cardstock stickers and a bits & pieces die cut. I also used some of the beautiful washi tape to add a bit of color and interest along the edge of the page.
I trimmed another patterned paper into a tag shape to tuck inside the pocket. I enjoyed decorating the tag with cardstock stickers and a die cut from the With All My Heart- Simple Pages Page Pieces. The die cuts in this pack are always some of my favorite pieces in the collection!
The next page features some of the tags from the Tags patterned paper. I created an envelope using a dot patterned paper and lined it with Robin's Egg Color Vibe paper. I love the little tags peeking out of the envelope! Next, I embellished the envelope with a foam word sticker and letter stickers from the Color Vibe Lights Alpha Sticker Book.
The next layout uses a divided pocket page. I included a cut apart journal card for one of the pockets and created two of my own journal cards with patterned paper and embellishments from the collection. I also did a bit of stamping with the clear stamp set.
I included more of the cut apart journal cards on this page and created a flip up for an additional photo or journaling. Interactive elements make an album more interesting and fun to flip through!
I incorporated more of the cut apart journal cards on the next page. By adding adhesive to three sides of the cards, I created little pockets to hold some of the cute tags from the Tags patterned paper.
For the final layout, I included interactive elements using more of the tags from the collection. Both tags flip open to reveal spots for photos or journaling. I had so much fun embellishing each little tag!
