Hello there!
It's Nathalie with you today in time to share fresh inspiration featuring the beautiful SIMPLE VINTAGE FRESH SNOW collection. The weather here in Toronto, Canada is definitely perfect for this collection, as we have snow and all that comes with it, so there is lots of memories to document. I just love the entire collection and pulled this project together in a short amount of time.
I always look at the Chipboard frames first as I always find them inspirational. This time, I loved the woodgrain frame and decided to use it (even when the photo is in the opposite direction of the frame), with just a few minor changes.
Once, I backed the frame with a photo of my two kids, then it was all about the background. For this, I reached for the Winter Woodland paper (I loved the soft frame around the paper. I decided to rip the paper so that I could exclude the deer from the page. Next, I pulled the 6x8 paper and decided to add another layer of ripped paper under the previous one. Then, I wanted something that would define the ripped edges a bit more, so I cut the bottom part of the Winter Woodland paper ( as it looks like snow), and tucked it under the layers before gluing it all to the Midnight/Mountain paper.
I glued the frame to the top edge of the ripped paper layers. Using stickers and chipboard stickers, I camouflaged the sentiment in the frame and added extra embellishments to the picture. There is so much interest in the background already, that there was no need to add much to the frame.
I took advantage of the position of the frames cluster embellishment to elongate the design on my page. I mixed pieces from the embellishment packs to add extra greenery to the left and right of the frame along the bottom edge of it.
To make my title pop a little bit more on the page, I decided to add a piece of the layered ephemera under the paper layers, then used the rub ons to bring interest to the left and right of this layer. The foam adhesive phrases are my best option to create titles for my page. Once I had set it all in place, it was all about scattering a few enamel dots.
I love how this turned out! The mixture of pretty papers, and embellishments complement the photo in the beautiful frame. I hope this inspires you to check this new collection!
XO
