Hey Simple Stories friends! I’m thrilled to share with you my latest set of cards using the Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers collection.
This beautiful collection captures the essence of nature’s beauty, with its vibrant florals, delicate butterflies, and whimsical vintage elements. In this blog post I’ll show you a couple of cards that you can easily replicate or use as inspiration for your own projects.
The colour palette of this collection is so beautiful! I started by selecting a few of my favorite patterned papers for each card, which I will either use as a full background or partial background behind white card, to create the illusion of a frame. For each card, I aimed for a balance between simplicity and elegance. I used double-sided tape for the background patterned papers, as well as some of the embellishments to create depth. For one of the cards, I used one of the chipboard frames and added a little bit of stamping on the inside. I am definitely not very experienced when it comes to stamping, but I had so much fun and I think that’s the beauty of creating something handmade.
The final touches make all the difference. I sprinkled small embellishments like enamel dots and adhesive brads throughout each card to enhance it without overwhelming the design. Each card came together so easily, because all of the embellishments go so well together - I couldn’t stop creating!
Creating these cards with the Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers collection was so much fun and soothing. I absolutely love to work with floral designs in my crafts and this entire collection put a big smile on my face. I hope this inspires you to create your own meadow-inspired cards.
