Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a great day! Today I’m sharing five more cards made with the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Essentials. This collection was so nice I had to play twice! But this go round I challenged myself to use some of the collection pieces that I don’t normally gravitate to for cardmaking.
All of the papers I used this time are from the 12” designer paper kit. I cut the papers to 6x6x” squares to make them more manageable. I flip half of the double-sided papers back side up so I can see all of the lovely pattern choices I have available to work with in the pack.
I typically use the same recipe for my card makes. I start with a card base topped with Color Vibe solid mats for a foundation. Next, I layer on pattern papers mixing the fun prints. Finally, I like to create a focal point. Usually that means a 4x4 SN@P! card or a Journaling die cut. This time I used Ephemera and Chipboard Clipboards to create focal points for my designs.
Because the Chipboard Clipboards are blank, they’re great for altering. I thought this would be the perfect place to try out the rub ons! I found them easy to apply using wood stick included in the package and they do add a new layer of interest to the designs.
Chipboard Metal Hardware accents and Foam Sticker titles along with enamel dots make the perfect finishing touches.
I challenge you to explore your tractional cardmaking supplies and see how you can kick things up a notch! I think you’ll be glad you did.
