Season of Joy! by Dorymar Perez

Hello Friends! It is Dorymar today with a beautiful Winter project inspiration. When I saw the Winter Cottage collection, I just thought this is the collection I needed to make my winter album. This collection has a mix of winter but also is perfect to document our activities during winter. Let's take a look at the project!

On the cover, I wanted to recreate a beautiful winter scene. And for this, I used the beautiful chipboards from the collection mixed with the patterned paper and the wonderful chipboard photo frames that the collection brings. These frames are perfect to do many things but, in my case, it was the perfect complement to make my beautiful cover.

I love layering, so I used chipboard to lift the center frame and then adhered my chipboard pieces and die cuts with foam tape to add the dimension. I used the letters included in the chipboard stickers, “Winter Wonderland”, as the title of my project. Then I added the phrase "BRRRR" because the colors make the scene stand out even more. I am in love!

To make my project I decided to use the green 6x8 flipbook horizontally, therefore, all its pages inside are designed in the same way. Placing the project this way allows me to have more space on my 6x8 pocket pages. In this spread, you can see that I followed the pattern of the Winter scenes and placed space for a 6x4 size photo and decorated around with the beautiful embellishments of the collection.

I also added my own pages using white cardstock to create the base. This page measures 6 x 7.5 and at the top, I made the folds according to the pocket pages, this allows me to move it in the same way. This page has a pocket that houses space for photos and journaling. Covered with the beautiful papers of the collection and decorated with all the beautiful chipboards, stickers, and die cuts that the collection has.

I adore creating and decorating my pages using all the beautiful patterned papers of the collection making many layers to highlight my project and searching among all the beautiful pieces for the perfect elements for my project. Below you will see in detail some of the beautiful pages that this project includes.

This is one of my favorite pages in this project, I created the base that measures 8.25 x 7.5 and has two flip-out flaps, one measure 5.5 x 5.25, and the other 6.25 x 5.25. This gives me interactive elements and more fun with the spaces and embellishments.

I was able to adjust the inserts for my pocket pages according to the album position without any problem because the journaling cards included in the collection allow you to use them vertically or horizontally. It's fantastic!
