Santa's Village Mini Album

Merry Christmas!

Hello friends, It’s Dorymar today! Is Christmas season and it’s time for gifts, family time, vacations and many fun activities. The best form to documents all of this is creating a fabulous scrapbook. Today I’m going to share with you a fun project featuring the new Santas Village collection. This collection has fantastic patterns, beautiful color palette and a lot of pretty icons.

I chose the green 6x8 Flipbook and resized the covers to 5 ¾” x 8 ½”. For the background, I used my favorite papers from the collection: Oh, So Merry and North Pole. After creating the background, I made a lovely cluster using pieces from the Bits and Pieces and the Sticker Sheet. For the title, I selected the large “Merry Christmas” sticker from the sheet.

On the inside of the cover, I created a pocket to hold several pieces from the collection, including photos and a journal. I enjoy creating clusters in my pockets and flaps to make the project eye-catching and fun. In this design, you can see how I utilized the beautiful die cuts included in the collection.

 Closer details!

I resized my pocket pages to fit the dimensions of the flipbook. I reduced the four 3x4 pockets to two and the 6x8 pocket pages to 5 ¾ inches. This adjustment allows me to use the cards while also creating beautiful pages.

I enjoy creating interactive pages. For this project, I used red paper from the solids package from the Simple Vintage Holly Jolly collection as a base. The size of the paper is 8 ½” x 8 ¼”, with folds at 1 ¼” and 5 ½”. To create the flaps on the front, I made a ¼” cut at 4 1/8”. Additionally, I created a pocket on the front to insert tags and add various details to my project. The result was fantastic!

   Inside look!

The collection is full of Christmas envelopes, so I wanted to add one to insert more journal cards. This gives more interaction and space to my project. I used an envelope that I had in my shelves that was 3”x5”, if you don’t have one, it doesn’t matter because you can also create one. I covered the envelope with the designer papers from the collection and placed a beautiful poinsettia from the floral package.

The collection features many beautiful elements, but my favorite is the adorable Santa! I wanted to incorporate him into my entire project because I'm in love.

I truly enjoyed the Santas Village collection and the outcome of my project. I hope it inspires you to purchase it and create something special for yourself or a loved one.

Wishing you Happy Holidays!
