Howdy-ho, friends! It's Mik here from Papermiks on the blog sharing a new flipbook inspiration.
I have a nephew who loves cowboys and wild west movies. When I saw the Howdy! collection I decided to make an album for him.
To make this special album I’ve chosen a 6x8 whitewashed wood flipbook.
To create my cover, I used the Yee-haw! paper and a wood washi to start my background. Then I used foam sticker, decorative brads, puffy stickers, journal bits, bits & pieces and a 6x12 chipboard to décor my cover. I used a lot 3D foam adhesive to add my die cuts to give my cover more dimension.
To allow the pocket page to interact with the paper page I made the back with, I removed two pockets from the first page. I added a clipboard from decorative brads on the pocket page and now we have an interaction between the two of them.
Another way to add photos on paper pages is by making pockets on them.
Instead of adding the stickers to the photos, you can add them outside of the pocket page. So, you can change a photo without having to remove the sticker.
I hope you’ve got some inspiration from this idea and enjoyed it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!
