No Place Like Home! by Marsha Farris

No Place Like Home! by Marsha Farris
Hey, Simple Stories friends! Marsha here, and I'm excited to share a SN@P binder album I created using the Hearth and Home collection. This is a gorgeous collection, just perfect for documenting family memories, favorite recipes, and time spent at home.

I chose to use a Black 6x8 SN@P binder because I wanted a neutral color that would allow the beautiful designs and patterns in this collection to shine! To decorate the cover, I chose two patterned papers from the collection and layered them onto the album. I trimmed out a house icon from the 6x8 paper pad and built on the cluster of florals already in the design. For the title, I used a large title piece from the Simple Pages Page Pieces. Next, I used a variety of die-cut bits and pieces, chipboard stickers, and puffy stickers to further embellish the cover. Decorative brads and enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch for the design.

For the inside cover, I used a chipboard frame to hold a family photo. I added washi tape to the top of the picture and embellished the frame with foam stickers and a die-cut word.

For the pages of the album, I used the chipboard dividers included with the binder to separate the album into sections. The first section will be used to document family memories at home. I used a woodgrain patterned paper from the 6x8 paper pad to create a frame for another 6x8 paper.

I love using the cut apart journal cards in my albums. I included several of them on the next page, along with bits and pieces die cuts, foam stickers, and cardstock stickers. I also tucked a tag behind the journal card as a place to include journaling or another photo.

The Tags paper in the collection kit is always one of my favorites! I used it to create a flip-up for including additional journaling. I also created my own 6x4 card using white cardstock and patterned paper. I enjoyed decorating it with a foam word sticker and a die-cut from the Simple Pages Page Pieces.

I used another divider to create a section for recipes. A paper from the 6x8 paper pad was perfect for this page. I loved the design, so I only added a few stickers and a label from the journal bits to embellish it.

I created a kitchen scene on the next page using patterned paper and a cut apart journal card. I also added chipboard, cardstock, and puffy stickers to create the page. I love how this layout turned out!

The final page I'm sharing today includes more journal cards. I created another flip-up using 3x4 cards and washi tape. The recipe card also flips open to reveal more cards for favorite recipes.

This is such a fun album created using the beautiful Hearth and Home collection. Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I will see you again soon with more inspiration!
