Hi scrappy friends,
it's Lisa Fonseca here with my very first project and blog post for Simple Stories, using For The Record!
I'm super happy to start this adventure on this amazing team.
I know it's already later in the month, but I wish everyone a happy new year 2025, I hope your year started great and creative! 🙂
While looking at this layout now, it kind of gives me springy vibes and I already look forward to sunny weather...
I started with three strips of paper, that I cut out from the patterned papers in the 6x8 paper pad. I distressed the edges and adhered them to a white sheet of paper. Then I bent the edges a bit to give them more dimension.
I matted my photo with four pieces of patterned paper and adhered it to the layout. Then I went all in with fussy cutting.
I really love fussy cutting, it's a relaxing task for me, so I often do it. I fussy cut a ton of flowers from the patterned papers and added them in kind of a diagonal design to the page.
For my title I used the word Moments, and I also used the camera from the foam stickers. I added brads on almost all of the flowers. I love overlapping the photo with embellishments, it makes the photo really belong and fit into the layout. That's why I almost always add the photo before the embellishments.
To finish, I added a scribbly border using my pencil, all around the three strips of paper and I splattered some gold ink on top of the layout.
This layout really looks so sunny to me and I love the girly colors of this collection.
Let me know what you think and tag me on Instagram with your recreations. 🙂
Lisa
