Hello everyone!
It’s Mik here from Papermiks on the blog today sharing a new flipbook inspiration.
Today I’ll show you a 4x6 flipbook using the lovely Magical Birthday collection.
Birthdays are very important dates! It's the time to celebrate the magic of being alive! And I want to invite you to live this magic by recording the happy moments with this magical collection!
I wanted to play with paper for the cover, so I started by cutting the strips from the let’s party paper that matched its color. So, I stitched the strips in place.
To create dimension, I distressed each strip.
For the first page I made a flap page. With this I can have more space for photos and it also gives my album some interactive touch.
I like the effect of uneven pages. One smaller than the other. Here I cut a piece of the pocket page and turned it into a 4x4 pocket, thus creating an iteration with the page that was right behind.
Adding brads is also another way to add more detail, you can add them onto the pages or make paperclips with them. It looks beautiful and decorates very well.
Something I have really enjoyed is creating pockets on the covers of my flipbooks. Here I can add more photos, washitape samples, stickers... Besides being practical, it also looks beautiful! You can also use it as a pocket for notes.
I hope you’ve got some inspiration from this idea and enjoyed it!
