Hello, Nicole here today to share a fun spin on the Heartstrings collection. Heartstrings is filled with bright, fun colors and a general sense of love making it perfect to document everyday love or even specific holiday celebrations. I pulled some photos from Valentine’s Day even though Heartstrings is not technically a Valentine’s Day line, it worked perfectly to convey the sense of love for my littles.
During my first sort of the products in Heartstrings I kept coming back to the sentiment bits and pieces. I love all the phrases and fun typography of this die set so I decided to come up with a fun way to include a bunch of these elements as the main design focus. I stacked phrases from the sentiment bits and pieces along with some from the foam stickers to create a vertical phrase scene in the center of my page.
To create dimension and added interest to the stacked phrases I used foam adhesive behind many of the titles. I also layered some of the banner images behind a title to give it a fun, colorful base to rest on.
I then filled in with smaller phrase stickers and foam doodle hearts from the foam stickers. This gives even more fullness to my fun phrase scene area.
I layered the pink grid paper on top of the heart pattern and matted the entire layout with a thin frame of the fun red polka dot showing to bring in that pop of the red from the collection. I used some of the 3x4 cut-a-part cards from the paper pack to mat my photos and bring in more of those individual colors from the line.
I printed my journaling directly onto the clipboard die cut and tucked various icons around my photos to help balance out the embellishments.
I love how this layout turned out and have a process video over on my channel showing how I created this layout.
Nicole
