Hi Friends! Andrea with you today sharing a new project using the Spooky Nights collection by Simple Stories. It is the scariest time of the year once again and I couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to create with the most spooktacular products. I used a ‘Box Halloween Haunted House’ cut file designed by Nilmara Quintela available on the Silhouette Store to create the box that keeps my new mini album safe.
I’ve been wanting to make a MINI mini album for a long time and here it is. I used 6x8” sheets of patterned paper and two 3 ¼” by 4 ¾” chipboard pieces to create the base of my hinge binding mini album. I went with a 1 ¼” spine. I machine stitched around the edges of the covers and inside pages to add some texture. The front cover is decorated with Foam and chipboard stickers from the collection, following the same color palette I used on the haunted house box.
The smaller patterns on the 6x8” paper pad were perfect for this size project. I opted for patterns that were more solid and plain and used different embellishments to decorate each page. I alternated between photos, spreads to add some journaling, and “just embellishment” pages to keep it fun. I loved adding the enamel dots and decorative brads as finishing touches on some of the pages.
I hope it inspires you to grab the new Spooky Nights collection and get ahead of the game creating the spookiest layouts and projects for Halloween. I already have in mind at least a couple more projects I’ll be working on these two months. Let me know if you have any questions and have a wonderful rest of your day.
