Let's Eat! by Cristina Sales

Hi beautiful Simple Stories friends, Cristina here today to show you my newest page made with a brand new collection Apron Strings full of amazing designs totally focalized on to the kitchen and all about cooking. I totally love shiny colors and versatile designs inside this new collection because you can use all of them to make a recipe book or a recipes calendar or whatever reminds you what happens in your kitchen and in your life! We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, especially during the lockdown period.

During my time at home I have cooked a lot and this is one of my best results, so I decided to keep memory about it using this beautiful Simple Stories collection because colors perfectly matched with my pic.

I fussy cut all those beautiful flowers and my idea was to create a lawn on which to place the plate with the salmon I had cooked. Then I added all the other elements all around my pic and inside the lawn. To give greater visual impact to the floral composition I have chosen as a base a paper with contrasting colors with a basic pattern of white and yellow stripes, and I stitched all around the borders using my stitched machine. Really cool. I love how it turned out.

I had so much fun choosing different elements in different materials, like adhesive brads and chipboard stickers or ephemera die-cuts to create dimension and a really amazing 3d effect.
