Hi Friends! Andrea with you today sharing a new project using the gorgeous Simple Vintage Cottage Fields collection by Simple Stories. I created a chipboard cover that keeps an altered Flipbook inside with some treasured memories. I love all the colors and details of this collection and I am dying to share all the details of this mini album.
For the cover, I used two pieces of chipboard of 5 ½ x 6 in for the front and back covers and one piece I cut at 5 ½ x 1 ¼ in for the spine. I used two different patterned papers from the Simple Vintage Cottage Fields collection to cover the outside covers and a third patterned paper for the inside and I created a pocket on the right side. This is what I will use to hold my Flipbook. The outside of my mini album cover is decorated with some rolled flowers using different patterned papers from the collection, a beautiful chipboard frame, and a few butterflies. I used the “Dreamer” sticker from the 12x12 collection kit and added it to the cover using some foam adhesive squares. I used two pieces of ribbon to tie a bow and keep my album close.
The fun starts when you open the album to find a 4x4 Flipbook inside. Yes!!! I used a Blush 4x6 Flipbook and cut it in half (I also cut a few of the sleeves to fit the new altered size) to fit inside my new album cover. I decorated the cover of my flipbook with a 4x4 piece from one of the patterned papers from the collection kit and also added some rolled flowers to match the cover.
The inside pages are decorated using some pocket pages as well as patterned paper cut a little bit longer and folded to create flaps and pockets. I used foam and chipboard stickers, cardstock stickers, bits and pieces, journal bits and decorative brads to add details behind and around my photos and embellish my pages.
I hope this project inspires you to get creative using the beautiful Simple Vintage Cottage Fields collection by Simple Stories and even join me in cutting one of your flipbooks to make an original project. Let me know if you have any questions.
