Hello Simple Stories fans. It’s Kylie back on the blog today, sharing one more Christmas themed layout with you all! My design today features the gorgeous ‘Jingle All the Way’ collection and I’ve used a ‘grid’ design to document my photos. Grid designs are a fun way to document more than one photo on a 12 x 12 page. You can use 4 or 9 squares depending on how many photos you have. For my page today I have used 4 and each photo has been trimmed down to 9.5cm square.
To begin I trimmed 1 cm off each side of the 3”x 4” ELEMENTS paper and adhered it centred over the TREE TRIMMING paper. Next, I trimmed 2cm off each side of the SANTA SQUAD paper and adhered it centred also. My page was then ready to add my grid design.
I cut 4 squares of JOLLY HOLLY DAYS paper measuring 10cm, and adhered my photos to two of them. Since I had two photos I wanted to document, meant that I had two squares I could embellish. My photos were trimmed to 9.5cm square.
The EVERGREEN PLAID/GINGHAM paper was used in place of a photo on the decorative squares cut also to 9.5cm square, (the same size as my photos). Using the FOAM STICKERS, I added some cute fun titles to each decorative square as well as some of the BITS & PIECES.
Once completed I loved the pop of colours next to my photo and the grid kind of reminded me of a panel window!
