Here & Now! by Tya Smith

Hello friends! I’m so happy to be able to share with you my latest batch of cards on the blog today! I was so excited to work with the new “Hello Today” collection to make my cards this time around. The color pallet and the icons were so fun to play with. These cards would be great to give any time of year as the Hello Today collection is more of a basic, every day type of collection. I made 5 cards for you to see today – let’s check them out!

My first card is one that I loved making as I got to use some of the beautiful butterflies and some florals in the collection. I loved the shade of aqua in this collection so much! The “Beauty in Everyday” is a great reminder to a friend that may need a reminder to look to the beautiful things in life!

My next card features my favorite pattern paper in the collection. The aqua paper on the right side of the card with the wood grain and color half circles was adorable and I thought matched well with some of the wood grain elements in the collection like the “Today is a New Day” chipboard sticker I used as my sentiment. And how cute is that rainbow brad, love it!

This card features some of the cute rainbow theme elements of the collection. Nothing says happy like a good rainbow, and the 3x4 card that I used as my sentiment remind us to remember what matters most is a great focal point. That yellow is so yummy!

I really fell in love with the cute plant icons in the collection so I found a couple that I liked and decided to go with a floral and polka dot themed card featuring the plants on the right bottom corner. I also used a few of my favorite Decorative Brads in the corners as well for some dimension. I love that Simple Stories Brads add dimension but not a lot of bulk! A definite plus in card making!

My last card was solely made so I could use that cute “Hey there, it’s Okay” die cut. We could all use a little encouragement in these crazy times! I loved the black and cream floral paper that goes across the center of the card.  This collection has a great mix of florals and then graphic icons that match so great together!

That is all I have to show you today! I hope that these cards have inspired you to pick up the amazing “Hello Today” collection and make some cards of your own.  I am making it a personal goal this upcoming year to send more happy mail to my loved ones since I don’t get to see them face to face as much as I’d like to. Cards are a great (and a socially distanced) way to send some love. Thank you so much for stopping by – Happy Crafting my friends!
