Hi friends! Happy Monday! It’s Celes Gonzalo here @guiademanualidades (IG) ready to share with you my first project as part of the new DT. This month, I’m obsessed with making layouts! It’s something I absolutely love! And today, I have a new idea using the products from the Front Porch collection. Let’s get to work!
For this project, I used one of my favorite photos with one of my best friends, Laurita Balboa. She lives in Spain, and I live in Argentina. This is one of our most beautiful memories together. The Front Porch collection was perfect for creating a layout with this memory.
Layout Base:
Use a 12×12 white cardstock sheet for the base.
I chose one of the papers from the kit and trimmed 1/2" off two of its sides to create the layer for the base.
I added white watercolor details because it’s something I love and it fits perfectly with the decoration style.
Once the watercolor dried, I was able to glue both papers together.
I used one of the frames from the set for my photo.
Time to decorate! And for that, there’s nothing better than layers, layers, and more layers. 3D foam is essential for this.
In the materials list, you'll see that I used many of the embellishments and accessories from the collection. I think they’re amazing and help create INCREDIBLE layering.
Decorative details:
The first piece I added with 3D foam was my frame with the photo (already attached). It’s the central piece, and its position will determine the rest of the decoration.
I added a bow as an extra detail. You can use any ribbon or paper you have at home.
For the decorative details, I combined butterflies from both the stickers in the Collection Kit and the Butterflies and Birds Bits. Remember, you can use anti-static powder to deactivate the adhesive in areas where you don’t want it to stick.
I combined phrases and words, bringing the layout to life with flowers, butterflies, and other nature-inspired details.
