HALLOWEEN FABOOLOUS

HALLOWEEN FABOOLOUS

Hello Simple Stories friends!
It's Nathalie with you today to bring you some FABOOLOUS inspiration right in time for Halloween.   I am still holding onto the last photos of my children's Halloween pictures for the right collection to show, and when I saw the colors and patterns of the FaBoolous collection, I knew it was time to document one of the memories. Here is my layout.
I wanted to frame my photos in this page, so I started by cutting a circle in the center of a 11x11" white cardstock.  Once, I had my frame it was all about creating a way to anchor my photos in style.
Well, you can tell inspiration comes from anywhere and anything, and this time it came from the folds of a window curtain at a funeral home -literally-.  I just happened to catch a glimpse of the crisp edges of the curtain and thought about using them as a way to anchor my photo to the page. I simply played with the Mischief & Mayhem paper to create the folds. Then tucked the corners under the circle frame.
I backed the empty space of the circle with a 6x8 paper, then framed the entire page with the Hello Pumpkin paper.    It was then time to add my photos to the left of the pleated paper.  I added a few pieces of ephemera around the photo.
The top fold edge of the pleated paper was perfect to bring more detail to the page, I found a series of tombstones in the embellishments of the collection, so I added them to the right of the picture.
To balance the page, I used the bottom right corner of the circle as the placement for my title. I combined chipboard stickers and foam stickers for this.  I found some spider webs and spiders in the ephemera and stickers and decided to use them as a way to tie in the entire page.

I love how this turned out!  Cannot wait to see all the memories you document with the beautiful FaBoolous collection!

XO
