Hello Simple Stories friends, Becki here, to share a layout with you that I created using the Simple Vintage Vintage Seas collection. Oh, this is such a fun collection! I was giddy when it landed on my doorstep because I knew exactly which photo I wanted to use and which story I wanted to tell with the beautiful pieces of this collection.
There are a few papers in the Simple Vintage Vintage Seas collection pack that I knew I wanted to start with, so I pulled those papers together and got to work. To ground the photo to the background, I cut a triangle shaped piece of the navy map patterned paper. Above that, I added a strip of white and red striped patterned paper and a smaller strip of multicolored striped patterned paper.
The embellishments in this collection are so fun! I added two embellishment clusters to this layout, one on the right side of the photo and one on the left side of the photo. Of course, I had to use the foam stickers for the main portion of my title. The word “Oregon” is tile letter stickers from the Vintage Seas sticker book. It is so fun to combine fonts, textures, and letter size to create a unique title.
Along the top and bottom of the layout, I added a bit of torn paper from the Vintage Seas 6x8 paper pad. Typically, I would tear the background paper and add the patterned paper behind the background, but I wasn’t sure I would like it torn. I love how the torn paper looks stitched on top of the background.
I am thrilled with how this layout came together. I cannot wait to document more of our memories of the Oregon Coast with this collection. I also cannot wait to see what YOU create with this beautiful collection. Happy crafting, my friends!!
