Get Cooking! by Emma Toon

Hi, it’s Emma here with you today, I’d love to show you how I’ve made this super fun recipe binder for my Daughter, using the Apron Strings Collection by Simple Stories.

I’ve used the Yellow 6x8 Sn@p! Binder, which the colour works perfectly with the colours running through the Apron Strings Collection!

I covered the front of the binder with the glorious floral paper and then cut out the apron image from the 6x8 paper pad. I used lots of foam sticky pads to attach the apron, giving it a 3D effect. I also used some of the self adhesive brads to add detail. The chipboard ‘Recipes’ piece and some gingham ribbon to finish.

I made a front page where I used the little tag ‘A messy kitchen is a happy kitchen’ and I cut out some stacked bowls from another of the pages out the 6x8 paper pad.

I love how the 12x12 Sticker sheet from the collection kit had lots of sticky tabs, so I decided to make plenty of dividers and used the tabs on each one.

The Apron Strings Collection comes with so many recipe cards! Each one is beautifully decorated...but I couldn’t help but add a few details of my own.

You can add your own mark on these, with just a few enamel dots, adhesive brads, chipboard pieces, stickers...yes, anything really!! Just have fun! I did!!

If you are looking to document your favourite meals or even make a recipe binder like me, then this collection has everything...and more, that you’ll possibly need!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing a sneak peek inside my Apron String Recipe binder and it’s given you a few ideas.
