For The Record Cards

For The Record Cards
In a world where digital communications reigns, there’s something truly special about sending a handmade card! Today, I am excited to share my latest project featuring eight charming cards featuring the delightful “For the Record” collection. This collection perfectly blends stylish office-themed icons with elements that capture the essence of your year. Let’s dive into the details of this inspiring collection and my card-making journey!
To create this vibrant card, I started with a few of my favorite papers from the 6x8 paper pad for the background papers. I love the cute little cameras on the top portion of the card. Next, I layered additional decorative papers including a joyful plaid pattern, to create visual interest. For the focal point, I added a bright yellow chipboard element with the phrase “Today’s the day:” and embellished it with flowers and a camera icon. A small tag reading “Focus on the good” tied with twine completed the look.
To make this card, I chose the fun color combo of navy and yellow using paper from the 6x8 paper pad for some eye-catching goodness. I layered some cut-apart cards from the collection together. The 3x4 card with this cute orange typewriter on it made for a fun focal point. I enhance the card with a foam sticker flower, and a few die cuts from the Bits and Pieces. A stripe tag peeking out on the right side of the card is tied with some jute twine. This card also includes some Decorative Brads and a paper clip for some shine.
This card is too cute! I love the bright grid design paper on the top! I layered the card with some orange grid paper and then a file card from the Journal Bits and Pieces. This is layered up with a sentiment from the Bits and Pieces. I complemented it with cheerful embellishments like the florals and a decorative tag and tied it with a red ribbon for a fun touch.
To create this lovely card, I started with some mint Color Vibe paper and then complimented that with some orange and floral papers.  The library card is a great base to build up my sentiment which comes from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces. To finish off the card I added 2 clusters of florals from the Floral Bits and Pieces for a warm, inviting touch. This design perfectly conveys a heartfelt sentiment, making it ideal for any occasion.
This collection has some of the prettiest floral papers and I can’t help but use them on my cards as shown here. The focal point and sentiment of this card are from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces. I then added some playful embellishments including a typewriter and foam sticker paper clips. Cute labels and tags peek out here as well as a Decorative Brad on the top of the tag. A few pink chipboard hearts complete the look.
This card features a bold “Hello” sentiment from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces. With pretty yellow, orange, and mint green papers as the backgrounds – the cute pink grid card from the 3x4 Elements paper stands out so well. Lots of texture with this card as shown in with the button twines and staples added.
Bright yellow arrow paper from the 6x8 paper pad looks as pretty as the background of this camera-themed card. I used the bright stripe Chipboard frame here and layered the chipboard camera on top of the photo spot die cut from the Bits and Pieces. I also added the orange film strip journal spot for the base of the cute colorful “smile” sentiment. Pretty red heart die cuts add a fun pop of color as well.
My final card of the bunch is so pretty using its pink, navy, orange, and mint color combo. One of my favorites for sure! The cheery dots on the Blush Color Vibe cardstock pair so well with the grid and lined papers, I think. The sentiment here saying “Yay!’ complimented by a smaller tag that reads “Way to Go!’ is perfect to cheer or give encouragement to a special someone! Decorative elements here like the pretty button tied with twine on my florals add some charm.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my card creations! I had a blast creating these fun designs using the “For the Record” collection. I really hope they inspire you to get crafty and make some cards of your own!
