Hello everyone! December is here and I am so happy and excited! After waiting all year for this special time, I don't want to lose a second of it! My intention for this project is to document every day; So I left space to add pictures and journaling. December is so magical! Do you feel the magic in the air? I love, love, love this time of year and I feel so lucky to have scrapbooking in my life so I can pause time and relive precious memories.
To start off, I created some 'foundation pages' to make my storytelling a little easier. I am using the gorgeous Simple Vintage Rustic Christmas to create my project - let's dive in!
For the cover I mixed the cardstock stickers with foam stickers. You know I always love a minimal style project, so I just decided to add ribbon with a Santa and a label sticker. For the first page I used a chipboard frame and some die cuts to add dimension. I also added some sequins into the pocket page. I think for this page I want to add a picture of last December with my intentions for Christmas this year.
I mixed different kinds of page protectors with the 6x8 paper pad. I then added some chipboard stickers, a chipboard frame, and some embellishments.
Going to the next page I used some papers from the collection and cut them into 4x6 spaces, with space for a title and the other for either journaling or a picture.
With the next couple of pages, I left more white space where I'll insert my picture of the day. I also added a mix of journaling cards and tags to finish each page off.
I have a lot of fun playing with the page protectors - there's so much you can do with them! I focus my attention on the little details because they make a big impact!
For the final pages I used 6x8 pages with journaling cards and foam stickers to go with the empty space I'll use for either photos or journaling.
I will admit, I am a little nervous because this is the first time I am working in advance without pictures. But I ended up loving it because it lets me celebrate the holidays while working in a quick and easy creative process. I can't wait to see how it will turn out!
Are you enjoying your December storytelling? I just adore it!
I can't wait to see what you create with using the beautiful Simple Stories Christmas collections! You will love them to pieces!
Love, Lory
