Family Is Forever! by Cristina Sales

Hi beautiful Simple Stories friends, Cristina here today to show you my newest project using amazing products, I am referring to the Ancestry collection, a vintage brand new collection I totally love.

Thanks to these lovely designs and colors perfectly mixed together I made a project using an old photo I really love about my very young mom when she was eighteen. For a long time I had that photo aside waiting for a favorable opportunity to be able to scrap it and this collection allowed me to create the page I had in mind.

I started choosing the light color paper by the SIMPLE VINTAGE ANCESTRY - 12X12 BASICS KIT, the cream one, then I chose the this is us patterned paper part of the SIMPLE VINTAGE ANCESTRY - COLLECTION KIT. and I tore off some pieces which I then glued on the cream paper alternating both one side and the other. I really liked the contrast effect between the light and dark base with the cameos.

Now I started my composition using all the amazing embellishments products like chipboards, foam, cardstock stickers, ephemera die-cuts, brads and enamel dots. The chipboards oval frame is really my favorite and I totally love how it turned out on all my layers.

I had so much fun playing with different elements which had different thicknesses, consistencies and materials to create dimension and a lovely 3d effect. Beautiful designs, and those lovely flowers in mint color are the perfect final touch that perfectly matched with the foam word memories I chose as my title.
