Hello, Nicole here today to share a single page layout featuring the Fur Baby Dog collection.
This collection immediately made me want to create some sort of a fun and full scene on a layout. Before I build my scene and start playing with all the bits and pieces of this collection, I want to make sure that I have my photos, title and journaling mapped out - leaving the rest of the area on the page to really build a scene.
I printed two photos of our little guy in 4x4 and adhered these to a scrap piece of white cardstock that was 11 inches wide. I made sure to crop and print my photos so I had a little extra background showing. This way I can place my title from the foam stickers partially on the photos without covering up any of my little guy's toes.
The open space to the right of the photos was a perfect area to add some pattern paper. I cut my journaling into strips and centered them on this area. I brought in some smaller die cuts and embellishments pieces to this area as well.
Now that all of the important items of my layout have a home, it’s time to build a scene! I always suggest starting with larger pieces first, and anything that will visually be layered towards the back of the scene. I like to layer items so they touch other pieces and add foam adhesive to some to create a mixture of flat and popped up embellishments. Adding small phrases, adhesive brads and enamel dots are a fun finishing touch to fill in small areas and balance out colors.
If you want to see how I put this page together I have a process video over on my channel showing how I created this layout.
