Hello Simple Stories friends, it’s Becki here to share two scrapbook pages with you that I created with the new Crafty Things collection. Let me start off by saying, this collection is off the charts cute and a MUST HAVE for all crafters! One afternoon, I started out with the intention of creating a single layout with this collection. The next thing I knew, it was 2 ½ hours later and I had TWO finished layouts on my desk. Crafty Things is so much fun to play with!
Let’s talk about the wreath layout first. I LOVE the floral bits in this collection equally as much as I love all the crafting supplies. I knew that I wanted to combine those two things to create a fun wreath layout. I started with the rainbow patterned paper as the background but decided to add a piece of white Color Vibe cardstock in the center of the layout. Honestly, my circle cutter is broken so I used a plate to trace a circle on the white cardstock. After cutting it out, I placed it in the center of the background and surrounded it with flowers and craft supply embellishments.
After finishing this layout, I jumped right in and started on a second layout without giving it a second thought. I HAD to use the cutting mat patterned paper. It’s just too cute to sit in my stash! I made my photo shine on this layout by enhancing it with a few cute patterned papers and embellishments.
I am so happy with each of these layouts! AND I’m even happier about getting a few of my favorite memories from the Simple Stories 2022 retreat onto layouts and into my albums with the Crafty Things collection. I can’t wait to document memories from the 2024 retreat with this collection too! Thank you so much for stopping by the Simple Stories blog.
