Hi, Friends! Andrea here, sharing a fresh and vibrant 12x12 spring layout featuring the gorgeous Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe collection by Simple Stories and the Flower Cart Edged Dies by Spellbinders in collaboration with Simple Stories.
Later this month, I’ll be sharing a monochromatic layout using this collection, but for this project, I wanted to focus on the beautiful floral elements to complement my selfie—where I’m wearing a floral blazer and colorful floral earrings.
I designed this layout with a layered wreath as the centerpiece, incorporating multiple textures and patterns for depth and contrast. I love how the colors pop against each other!
Beyond using the edged dies, I wanted the flower cart to be the star of the show. To bring it to life, I used Simple Stories Color Vibe Cardstock in a variety of colors. This die set includes many thin and intricate pieces but assembling them was such a fun process!
Once my background elements were adhered, I placed the flower cart at the bottom right of my layout using foam adhesive for added dimension. I tucked my photo slightly under the cart on the left and used the ‘Beautiful’ piece from the Page Pieces as my title.
To enhance the circular frame in the background, I arranged floral bits and pieces around it, adding layers of texture and movement. I also cut four ¼” tall white cardstock strips to write my journaling, keeping the focus on the design while still capturing the moment in words.
For the finishing details, I added chipboard and cardstock stickers, enamel dots from the collection, and a touch of glossy accents over some of the flowers to create texture and dimension.
