Hiya Simple Stories fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a celebration layout that isn’t about a Birthday! This collection, Celebrate! was designed to be multi-purpose; to be diverse and applicable to all celebrations. An anniversary, a graduation, or, as I have done here, a big moment like getting into the high schools that required application processes. Get ready to hang the banners and toss the confetti!
Literally, I meant hang the banners! LOL! By mixing a journal banner with this chipboard sticker banner, and hanging them from twine that spans the width of this layer, I was able to add some dimension to the layout. The angles that that hang off set the multi directions of the photos and tags below.
No matter the occasion, there are excitement phrases that work as subtitles or embellishment aplenty in this collection! Literally from the sticker book alone you have enough for hundreds of layouts. This “Way to go” foam sticker serves as the title of my layout. Generic, but fitting. And supported by the typed out subtitle in the pink banner. As I had already stuck the banner to the page in the process of getting it attached to the twine, I couldn’t pull it off to run through the printer or use my typewriter. That’s when this virtually clear sticker paper comes in super handy!
Like I said, there are PLENTY of celebration phrases to go around.
Two tags serve two different purposes here. The one behind the “main” photo, the larger photo, houses both a third photo and hidden journaling. Trying to be sensitive about the kids who didn’t get into the schools that they applied to, I didn’t want to brag publicly. The other tag top adds a support color to the layout with a bright pop of yellow!
You can watch this layout come together on my YouTube channel or click on the link below. I will almost always have a process video that accompanies my projects. I would love to have you subscribe!
What celebration do you have upcoming that you might use this great collection for? Thanks for stopping in today!
