Hi again! Odessa here with some spring-y pages using the new Simple Vintage Cottage Fields Collection. I’m always so excited to get my hands on a new Simple Vintage collection. While I am usually not a fan of more vintage styles, they have just the right modern touch that makes me love them so much and Cottage Fields does not disappoint! All the flowers and positivity is just what I need during a dark and cold February.
I also really love how there was a coordinating Cottage Fields Flipbook. In two sizes even! I went with the 6x8 because that black and pink floral combination is everything.
I wasn’t going to embellish the cover as it’s beautiful enough on it’s own, but I used the new Page Pieces because I love the big blue beautiful die cut which I put on the cover with a few hearts and a tag from the Page Pieces.
One thing I like about the Simple Vintage collections is that they lend themselves to a more collage-y mixed media feel without getting into all the supplies and time, neither of which I have time for as much as I’d like to. This page is from May when all the things really start blooming here so I covered the page in flowers of all kinds. Floral journal cards and cardstock, stickers, phrase stickers and more!
This floral pattern was on a journal card on the other side of this layout and I loved it so much I needed more of it on my page. I cut a 4x6 piece from the 6x8 paper pad. I find that the scale of the patterns in the paper pads works really well for 6x8 pages. It’s a little smaller so you get more of the pattern in your pockets if that’s what you are going for. I used a giant foam hello sticker from Cottage Fields with a phrase sticker from the sticker book.
I made this journal card to fill this pocket using a cut piece from the Hello Happy 12x12 cardstock - that little bee is adorable. I added some of the darling paint chip stickers along the side from the cardstock sticker sheet and added a couple of brads and a foam heart on top. It’s so sweet.
The next page is from a fun spring hike with my family. There is something so great about the first hike of the year so a lot of the positivity from Cottage Fields came in here. This page has a lot of blues and bold text via stickers all over it.
I loved the word 3x4 journal card on the other page so I recreated it here using another page from the 6x8 paper pad cut down and a bunch of stickers from the Cottage Fields sticker book across it. I love this word strip and bold pattern combination. I added a brad at the bottom for some dimension.
Here I used one of the big foam stickers to caption this photo with a cute chipboard heart and one of the dimensional stickers underneath. It’s a simple way to make this photo pop!
I hope you liked this look at my pocket pages. If you need some spring right now Cottage Fields is perfect.
