Adventures
Hey friends, Inessa Persekian @paperandbling on the blog today and I’m excited to show you my travel mini album made with the Pack Your Bags collection! I had so much fun documenting pictures from our trip to Orlando in December. My daughter was assisting at a dance convention and my husband and I and our best friend came along. We visited Disney and Universal Studios and had the best time! I had to make this mini album for our bestie to remember all the fun moments.
The album is built with a 12x12 sheet of the hearts paper and is held together with a belly band. It measures 4.25"x7.5" and is easy to build. It has all the flips and flaps and holds so many photos. To get started, cut a 10.5"x12" piece and score an approximately 3/4" border around it. Trim off the corners. To create a spine, you also want to score a 1.25" section in the middle. You can then fold in the border and adhere to the inside of the paper. To make it sturdier, I also added a 9.25"x7.25" piece on the inside, leaving a small border all around.
The rest is adding flips and flaps to hold as many photos as you'd like. I made a waterfall on the left side of the album and also added a flap at the bottom to hold it closed. On the right side, I added 3 flip outs: 1 opening up, 1 opening to the side and 1 opening downwards. I also added a pocket to hold extra photos. The best part is you really can change this up and add as many or few flips and flaps as you'd like.
My favorite part of the process is of course adding my photos and decorating the album. I used a mix of foam and chipboard stickers as well as stickers from the sticker book. The enamel dots and decorative brads add the perfect finishing touch!
I hope you've found something that inspired you to create! Check out my Youtube video here with a walkthrough of the full album. Thank you for being here and have a fabulous day!
