Today Lisa Swift joins us with 2 layouts using our Good Day Sunshine collection, several Xyron products and some May Arts ribbon.
Hi Simple Stories fans! Lisa here today to share two layouts, about a recent trip to Disney, made with my current favorite Simple Stories collection — Good Day Sunshine. I paired this collection with some fabulous May Arts ribbon and Xyron adhesives.
This first layout is about how much we love spending time on Disney's Boardwalk, walking around, shopping, eating (of course!) and riding the surrey bicycles.
Ever since it was released, I've found myself reaching for May Arts' chevron twill ribbon again and again. Because it comes in different widths (and colors), you can use it to accent larger items, like photos, and smaller items, like embellishments.
Xyron adhesives are "must have" supply for me and are always in my stash. I used the double-sided tape to hold the ribbon in place on the back of the photo (making it easier to tie the bow). The adhesive dots were perfect for adhering chipboard pieces and smaller items. The Mega Runner, with its permanent adhesive, worked great to adhere the photo and paper-to-paper!
This next page is about our down time at Disney. The title is a spin off of the resort we stayed at, The Yacht Club. After hours in the scorching heat and humidity, there was nothing like heading to the pool to cool off. The water seemed to refresh my daughter and perk her right back up again. We definitely did a "yacht" of swimming while we were there!
I love the design of the Shades of Summer paper! It reminds me of a paint sample swatch and packs so much color with its simple design. I thought it would be fun to embellish each "color swatch" with coordinating enamel dots, stickers and embellishments.
I used enamel dots and ribbon to add interest and dimension to the chipboard pieces. Here's a closer look at the popsicle:
Again, I relied on my trusty Xyron adhesives. I used the Xyron X Sticker Maker to turn smaller items, like the diecut anchor, into stickers to make them easier to adhere to the page.
Thanks for stopping by for day 3 of our partnership with May Arts ribbon and Xyron adhesives. I hope I gave you some ideas on how to use these products along with the Good Day Sunshine collection. Have a great day!
