Simple Stories, Xyron, & May Arts Product Swap

Howdy!  Layle here with you today.  We've got a fun week planned - a Simple Stories, Xyron and May Arts Ribbon Product Swap!

All three design teams have swapped products and will be sharing on our blogs all week long.  Join us for some great inspiration as well as a chance to win several prize packages from all 3 companies!

Today Kim Kesti joins us with three fun cards using our Under the Stars Simple Set, several Xyron products and some May Arts ribbon & twine.

Hi - Kim here!  I am so excited to be posting today using both the fabulous May Arts ribbon and the perfect adhesive to keep everything in place: Xyron! I have three cards to share and a few tips on using the adhesives as well.

All of my cards are created with the Under the Stars Simple Set, it is just so fresh and fun – perfect for some special summer themed cards. Here I used the Xyron Glue Stick in a unique way.

I simply adore the thicker twine produced by May Arts, but like all twine, the ends tend to ravel and come untwisted. Just dab a bit of glue stick on the end of the twine and, boom! Problem solved. It is way easier to use than a runnier liquid adhesive and dries really fast!

My next card uses some of the crocheted lace by May Arts – something that can be a challenge to adhere, but not if you have the little Xyron 1.5” Sticker Maker!  Just run that lace through and you have the perfect adhesive. **Please notice that I still use my older “orange” version of the Sticker Maker – Xyron was nice enough to send me this new purple version which I am giving away on my blog! Check and enter to win.

I layered twill ribbon on top of the lace for a fun bohemian look.

My last card is purely for fun! I love how perfectly the Chevron Stripes ribbon ( matches this 3 X 4 journaling card. Swoon!

Hey, thanks for taking a look at my cards. It sure is easy to create with such inspiring products!

Now for the fun part!  Enter via the Rafflecopter widget below and we'll draw one lucky winner on Sunday to win a prize pack from all 3 companies!  After you leave a comment, head on over to the Xyron blog and the May Arts Ribbon blog to see what their team has created.  Make sure to a leave a comment on their blogs as well - they're giving away a prize pack too.
