Custom Planner Dividers
Hi friends! Layle here to share with you my process for creating my own custom dividers for my Carpe Diem planner.
I love making dividers! There's something about working with a smaller canvas that makes me happy! And I love that I can switch up dividers with the season & even my mood :)
To create the bases for the dividers I started with 5 sheets of the woodgrain SN@P! Basics
The first step was to cut the paper down from 12x12 to the standard A5 size - 5.83x8.27. You could either measure the dimensions out with a ruler, trace or trace an existing divider. Because I make dividers pretty frequently, I marked these dimensions off on my trimmer with washi tape
This made it really quick & easy to cut my dividers
Once I had two sheets each cut of each pattern, I glued 2 sheets togther, punched and adhered tabs, then punched the holes
Once my divider bases were done, it was time for decorating - the best part!
On this divider I cut down a 4x6 card to fit, applied adhesive to sides and bottom of the card & then adhered to the divider to create a pocket. Not only is it decorative, but it's functional as a place to store stickers!
On this divider I adhered a pocket to the divider for more storage - this time for the Life in Color Washi Paper Tape sheets
Sometimes a simple 6x4 card with a few coordinating embellishments is all you need for a fun custom divider
I hope I've given you some fun ideas for creating your own custom dividers for your planner!
